Considered to have the Best Bloody Mary's in the world, the King Cole Bar is one of the best bars in New York . This is not surprising considering it is located inside one of the best Hotel's of New York , the St. Regis Hotel . The bar is housed in a small room with high ceilings and glass doors which lead to the patio of the Hotel.

An invitation-only bar, Milk and Honey is one of the most exclusive bars in New York . According to those that managed to get in, Milk and Honey has some of the best cocktails in New York , which are especially made by the owner himself, Sasha. The bar has its own set of quirky rules, such as name dropping is banned and men cannot introduce themselves to ladies.

Angel's Share is hard to find, and you must go through a Japanese restaurant to find it. The small bar/lounge has some expertly mixed cocktails made which are served on chilled glasses. The bar strictly adheres to a “no groups bigger than four” policy to keep the place hushed and private.

This post-modern sophisticated bar is owned by Keith McNally (owner of Balthazar). This two-story space contains the whitewashed walls and steel toilets that are highly reminiscent of the USSR . This Art Deco historic building is the perfect place to house Flatiron Lounge, which is based on the New York of the 1920s. The bar's counter actually comes from the Manhattan Ballroom, while the rest of the space contains dark wood and ironwork to highlight the décor that was popular in the 1920s. The cocktails are expertly made, with names such as “Flight Back in Time” or “Flight to Hawaii ” which stand for certain things unique to the era (for example, “Flight Back in Time” stands for the Rat Pack favorites). Julie Reiner is the expert mixologist at this great lounge.

Located inside the Bryant Park Hotel, the Cellar Bar that contains barrel-vaulted ceilings and a Mediterranean style that is perfect for a long night out. The drinks are a mix of flavors and tastes and come highly recommended. Try the Razmopolitan, which contains Absolute Citron, Cointreau, raspberry syrup and homemade lemon sour.

From the owner of Milk & Honey, comes the speakeasy East Side Company Bar. The bar itself is dimly lit, and the ceilings are low, giving the place the appearance of an underground shelter. Located inside the Dream Hotel, the Dream Lounge is a small yet very stylish bar that seems to create a dream-like space for its patrons. The Back Room bar is Bars hidden behind unmarked doors are the faux-grunge counterpart to bottle-service clubs. Back Room, which fronts as a closed toy shop—you creep down an alley to find the entrance—is really no more of a mystery than its rumored investors, Tim Robbins (who's been tending bar) and Mark Messier, but its devotion to the concept is charming.
