Attire. What is the dress code on Bateaux New York?
Bateaux New York does not allow T-shirts, jeans or sneakers to be worn on any cruise. We suggest jackets and ties for men and business or evening attire for ladies.
Bateaux. What does "Bateaux" mean?
Bateaux is the French word for "boats.” Patterned after the elegant glass boats that cruise the riverbanks of Paris, France, Bateaux New York features glass ceiling and walls with supporting framework to offer unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline.
Boarding. What is "Boarding Time" and "Cruising Time?"
"Boarding Time" is the earliest our guests may board the ship. Typically we begin boarding 1/2 hour prior to the "Cruise Time." Tickets are picked up at our dockside kiosk up-to one hour prior to the cruise.
Cancellations. What is your cancellation policy?
We regret there are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final. We cruise rain or shine all year long. In the rare event the Coast Guard prohibits cruising because of weather, we will contact you to make other arrangements.
Children. Are there any age requirements?
Children are welcome on Bateaux New York, however a child rate is not available on our dinner cruises. Children age 12 and under will receive a $2 discount off lunch cruises only.
Coast Guard Regulations. Is the vessel Coast Guard certified?
Yes. All of our ships are Coast Guard certified and maintained regularly to adhere to strict safety regulations.
Cruise Route. Where does the ship go?
We cruise the Hudson and East Rivers past the skyscrapers of Manhattan including the Empire State Building. You will see the Intrepid Sea-Air Space Museum, the Brooklyn Bridge, the site of the World Trade Center, Battery Park City, South Street Seaport, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Governor's Island, Ellis Island and the Colgate Clock. Dancing. What kind of dance music do you play?
Dancing across the Hudson River aboard Bateaux New York is a rare delight enhanced by the sophisticated sounds of live soft jazz, Broadway, blues and more, provided by our own professional jazz trio and remarkable New York song stylist.

Drinks. What do drinks cost?

Entertainment. What type of entertainment is offered?
The harmonic notes of a Baby Grand Piano greet our guests, followed by the sophisticated sounds of an acoustic trio and the satin-smooth melodies of our talented vocalist over dinner. Gift Certificates. How can I purchase gift certificates?
Spirit Gift Certificates are available in $25 increments and may be purchased online or by calling toll free (212) 532-1700 ext:13. Printed gift certificates come with an elegant presentation holder. If you choose to send your gift electronically, our attractive, full-color, e-mailable gift certificates can be completely customized for you and your recipient. All gift certificates are valid for one year.
Gratuity. Is gratuity included in the ticket price?
A service charge is included in the ticket price and covers gratuity on the food portion of the ticket price. It does not include any gratuity for beverages purchased on the ship or for any outstanding personal service provided by your server.
Groups. What size group can Bateaux New York accommodate?
Bateaux New York offers two dining rooms which can be adjoined for up to 300 passengers or separated into two soundproof private suites for 170 and 130 guests. Unique banquette seating also allows for artful small-party grouping of any size. Customized menus and enhancements are available for groups of 20 or more, and charters can customize every detail from beginning to end. Tour the ship . Handicap accessibility. Is the ship handicap accessible?
Yes. Our ship can accommodate wheelchairs for boarding and provides a handicap restroom. Please notify us of any special-assistance members in your party prior to the cruise so we can provide the appropriate assistance upon arrival.
Menu. What type of food is served?
Our menu is plated New American Cuisine – an exquisite three-course dining experience featuring chic appetizers, gourmet entrees and luscious dessert concoctions, all complemented by excellent wines and attentive tableside service. Parking. Is there parking close to the ship?
Yes, there is ample paid parking available at Chelsea Piers just steps away from our ship. It is a covered lot with security. Prices vary depending on the amount of time you are parked.

Seasickness. Will I get seasick?
It's unlikely. Bateaux New York operates in New York Harbor, on the Hudson River and the East River, which are all very calm bodies of water. What's more, our ship is very stable, so in most cases, you can hardly tell that we're moving.
Seating. How is seating arranged on board?
Our ship is very flexible when it comes to seating. Tables for two, four, six, eight and even more can be arranged to suit almost every party and occasion. Our unique banquette seating allows us to create groupings of 20 to 100 with ease while still providing intimate seating for couples and foursomes.
Ship information. Can you tell me a little about your ship?
The all glass ceiling and wall, 300-passenger Bateaux New York is Manhattan's most luxurious dinner cruise ship. Spaciously designed with climate-controlled interior decks, two outdoor strolling decks and a spacious hardwood dance floor.
Smoking. What is your smoking policy?
All interior areas of our ship are non-smoking areas. Passengers who smoke may do so on the outdoor observation decks.
Tickets. Where can I pick up the cruise tickets?
Tickets can be conveniently picked up at the dock up to one hour prior to the cruise. The credit card used for purchase and photo ID will be required.
Weather. Do you sail in inclement weather?
Absolutely. Our ships are fully enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort. We sail rain or shine year round.
Weddings Events. What kind of wedding events can be held on your ships and how much do they cost?
Bateaux New York can uniquely handle any wedding event you can name, from an engagement party, shower, bridal luncheon and post-wedding breakfast to the ultimate rehearsal dinner, wedding and/or reception. Cost depends on the number of guests, the time of year and the package you choose.
